Your gift to NAF or the Hotline can support the following areas of need:

• Use Where Providers Need It Most will support our abortion provider members with the services they need most, like 24/7 security assistance, quality assurance site visits, educational trainings, and opportunities to be part of a community of fellow providers. This is our most flexible funding option for those interested in supporting abortion providers.
• Abortion Provider Security will provide critical funding to NAF’s Security & Safe Access program, which provides diret security support and resources to help keep abortion providers and patients safe. As one of NAF’s flagship programs, we provide onsite trainings, security assessments, and up-to-date guidance on anti-abortion threats.
• Provider Self-Care (Chloe’s Fund) supports the self-care and wellness needs of our provider members as they face burnout, legislative attacks, harassment, and even violence. The fund honors the memory of former Hotline Director Chloe Hanson Hebert.
• Use Where Patients Need It Most will help patients with their greatest need to make it possible for them to access abortion care. Donations to this fund will cover abortion care and travel costs, as needed. By donating to this fund, 100% of your gift will go to help patients access the safe, high-quality abortion care they want or need.
• Hotline Operations Fund ensures our Hotline staff can continue to provide the information and assistance people need to access their abortion care. This fund supports Hotline staffing, technology upgrades, and vital programming to continue improving the operations of the Hotline.
• Patient Travel Support (Dr. Tiller Fund) specifically helps cover expenses for patients who need to travel to obtain their abortion care. This fund honors the legacy of long-time NAF member, Dr. George Tiller, who was murdered by an anti-abortion extremist in 2009. By donating to this fund, 100% of your gift will go to help patients with the travel support they need so they can obtain their abortion care.
• The Rachel Falls Patient Assistance Fund helps patients obtain abortion care in states where Medicaid covers abortion care, but patients still need support. The fund honors the memory of former Hotline Director Rachel Falls. By donating to this fund, 100% of your gift will go to help people obtain their abortion care.

If you are 70.5 years or older, you can make a donation to us from your IRA using this secure online tool. IRA gifts are generally not recognized as taxable income, allowing you to potentially save on taxes.

If you're 72 years or older, an IRA gift can also count towards your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Usually, IRA withdrawals are taxed as income, but if you make a tax-free gift to NAF directly from your IRA, it can help fulfill your RMD tax-free.
